that being said, ever have one of those days where everything awkward happens around you, but you are only indirectly involved as a bystander to each of these events? within a matter of not even 10 minutes yesterday, one of my servers was busing a table and in bringing the items over to the counter, put a partially-filled glass down and knocked it over - all over the place. no biggie.
a minute later, i am clearing a table and chatting with the customers and the lady started talking and knocked over an almost-filled glass of iced tea on her partner - took more than a few napkins to clean up. they started laughing because they saw the glass get knocked over near me just a minute earlier.
going around to the other side of the counter, my other server was making a new batch of iced tea and failed to flip the pourer up and it started pouring out, all over the place, as i was walking by.
is there a deeper hidden meaning in all of this or is it just *something that happened*? there was a time in my life, things like this - little things that nobody would notice - would happen around me, like people tripping and falling. countless times. enough for something inside of me to sit up and take notice, and all at once, look for a deeper reason than "oh, it was all a coincidence."
is there logic to all of this?
is it simple?
or is it deeper?
