notes from rome

i remain relatively quiet on matters that garner a lot of media attention, i.e., terry schiavo or the passing of our beloved Papa, JPII. i am only relatively silent because the majority seems to blog and/or report things way better than your humble servant, m2.

that being said, somehow i came across this in the blog-o-sphere and found it link-worthy: it was entitled notes from rome, and the gentleman himself is a fellow priest, receiving information from a compatriot in rome itself while the funeral was taking place.

i found it a compelling read and believe you will, as well.

as an aside - does anyone else find it fascinating that the Pope wanted all of his personal notes burned??? if anyone can link me to good comments concerning same, i'd be most appreciative...
