when i went to mass this morning, i prayed so hard for everyone involved in this hurricane - from victims to those who desire to help - and when i came home, i had received my first *donation* for chad & crystal. i cannot tell you who or how much, but as of this point, we have already raised from this little space on the internet alone, well over $700.00!!!CAN YOU BELIEVE IT? i am in awe of you folks. in awe. God is good.
i applaud everybody's efforts around the blogosphere to raise monies and for what is truly a deserving cause. i am just pleased that i can do something for my friends and seeing their beautiful pictures also puts a face to the pain we are all watching on television - these are not nameless people, these are friends we have all grown to care about through their trials and tribulations, joys and sorrows. we are there with you, in thought.
and prayer.

as i told chad earlier today, we are church. as he told me in reply: "God is good. This Church is good."
