how do you feel about the blogs of people you read that won't allow comments?
we all go through quiet phases, i agree, and with haloscan, you'd have to delete your comment code in order to turn comments off.
when it comes to blogging, i think part of what drew me to it (after initially reveling in the fact i could put my spirituality *out there* and risk being myself for once) was the fact that i met like-minded individuals and they agreed with me instead of run the other way.
i just came across two blogs that i really, really enjoyed - loved their sidebars, everything about them. however, i went to post a comment, on each of them, and they don't allow them. neither of them did. i've run across this in the 'sphere a lot and am wondering if i am the only one who is a tad put out because of it?
is it that necessary for me to express my opinion?
am i put out because these folks are essentially telling me (and you, too, darnit) that (y)our opinions don't really matter?
even if they don't respond, which i don't really check back to see if they do -- i at least want to tell them their blogs are lovely and i enjoyed their ~whatever it is i enjoyed about them~ them and feel shut out if i can't.
that is all i have to say :)
