holyness, i've been tagged!!

ahhh, i love the smell of a meme in the evening. tagged by my friend gayla, here we go - i may not be as wordy as the other memes i've seen, but every now and again, i can be articulate. really. and bless anyone who stays until the end, amen.

1. Egg nog or hot chocolate? my mom's homemade hot chocolate.
2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree? wrapped.
3. Colored lights on tree/house or white? many, many colored lights
4. Do you hang mistletoe? nah. no need (wink, wink, nudge, nudge) hey - i have mono, remember?? there's no kissy-face going on here...
6. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)? i would have to say my roasted butternut squash.
7. Favorite holiday memory as a child: okay, my fave memory as a child was watching the Pope's Mass at midnight on television. no lie. i loved it as a kid (hmmm....)
8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa? my friend jolie told me in the 5th grade. i am still crushed.
9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? heck yes - new jammies for EVERYONE!
10. How do you decorate your Christmas tree? lights, ornaments, pics of my kids, mish-mash
11. Snow! Love it or dread it? love it in real life but dread it as a business owner
14. What’s the most important thing about the holidays for you? how i feel on Christmas eve just before retiring for bed...knowing about Jesus' birth
15. What is your favorite holiday dessert? no, thank you.

What is your favorite holiday tradition? decorating gingerbread houses with molly & her best friend every Christmas Eve day and kicking both of their butts because i am so darned creative...oh, what's that pictured? one of my houses?? ::bats eyelashes:: really, it was one of my simpler models...
17. What tops your tree? an angel
18. Which do you prefer, giving or receiving? giving, hands down. i am not a getter, i am not comfortable with it
19. What is your favorite Christmas song? God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen
20. Candy canes: heck yeah.
21. Favorite Christmas movie? no brainer - It's a Wonderful Life. i also like Scrooge (the musical with Albert Finney). but It's a Wonderful Life i watch every year with my oldest child and cry in anticipation of the dialogue. ::sniff::
