how to help a single *parent*

i was directed to a dusty frame by my girlie friend at rocks in my dryer and it is truly poignant and will set you back a bit when you read it - you see, her husband is incarcerated and she writes about her experiences during his confinement. extremely eye-opening for this reader.

in her latest post, she talks about how to help a single mom - but actually, i think some of these tips are worth sharing if you know any single fathers.

really, really good and practical. and not just for the holidays...think *all the time*. i was talking to a friend from church who said there simply is no ministry for single parents at our parish - someone going through the pains of a divorce or being recently widowed (or widowered). it's got me thinking...
