on our way to the rescue mission

i went early to St. Joe's so i could pray the liturgy of the hours. something very consoling about wrapping yourself in a blanket of extra prayer before you embark on a journey with 14 teenagers to the most eye-opening experience they will have in their young lives.

please, if you think of us - say an extra prayer, too. thank you.

the office of the hours, yes, but from the Christian Prayer book -

although phyllis tickle's book sounds lovely, too - the book i used is the standard one used by Catholics and has been used for centuries.

Its good to get teens involved in community issues, I commend you for that! I hope the mission in your area is better ran than the one here in Nashville.
God Bless!
