i have always been fascinated by icon art - never knew until renee shared with us that icons aren't painted - "they are written," and ayekah further explained that writing an icon is an act of prayer - indeed, that would certainly make sense.i was blogging around since i had an unexpected day off today (hence three threads in one day!) and found a link to (yet another) wonderful artist on steve bogner's site - the artist's name is meltem aktas and i have featured her piece "Christ in the Dessert" herein. her art can be found in the link to her name.
