[reluctantly] grabbing a baton...

...from my friend julie d. - "List five things that people in your circle of friends or peer group are wild about, but you can't really understand the fuss over. To use the words of Caesar (from History of the World Part I), 'Nice. Nice. Not thrilling . . . but nice.'"

m'kay.

1. (don't kill me, jule...) reality television. i am simply not fascinated with anyone's life on television and would rather watch a documentary or *gasp* a cooking show (ha!!!) or ewtn. i'm not a big television fan.

2. gossip. i don't like to hear it or partake in it since it was a Lenten sacrifice several years ago. now i don't even want to hear the words "did you hear about so & so??" i bristle.

3. celebrities. i could care less about them, too. folks tend to get caught up in their lives, their television programming, their *whatever*.

4. politics. no elaboration necessary.

5. church politics. again, 'nuff said.

passing the baton to: my new pal, steve, my *old* pal steve, and jocelyn.
