welcome to my (diet) world

i am out the door in about two minutes to open the restaurant but wanted to post this and hopefully get some feed back...

molly and i have been on weight watchers (hereinafter "ww") for a few weeks now. she's doing well. me? not so well. i've been on it a total of 10 weeks and as of thursday, was up .2 pounds. we won't talk about being on it/off it for a year and up a total of 3 pounds altogether. we are reaching critical mass.

i had tremendous success on atkins until i started back to my old way of eating and put some of my 77 pound loss back on (it's in my archives complete with before and after pics...go ahead and look, they are still there) and while claiming to be down 47 pounds is great and all, do the math. the 30-pound gain in the last two years is not so great.

i have the books "the maker's diet" and "body by God" and really understand their logic and totally ascribe to what they are teaching - it's so FLIPPING EXPENSIVE to eat organic and whole foods (unless my friend ayekah can tell me otherwise...) so i am now exploring south beach. anyone on south beach?

you can tell me i need to combine diet and exercise, but please also note in my archives how i hate to (i can barely even type the word...) sweat. if i must, i must. but i am really seeking the easier way out.

any tips?
suggestions?
helpful hints?

bear in mind the sensitivity level of your hostess :) now i'm off to make the pancakes...
