The Seattle Times: Nation & World: Biblical Pool of Siloam found

The Seattle Times: Nation & World: Biblical Pool of Siloam found

i saw a bit of this on "good morning america" prior to running out to church this morning - how cool is this??
"...a freshwater reservoir that was a major gathering place for ancient Jews making religious pilgrimages to the city and the reputed site where Jesus cured a man blind from birth, according to the gospel of John."
one of the things that (slightly) irritated me in my 45-second viewing of gma's version of this story is they referred to "Jesus' healing of the blind man" as a "...theological fable that has long been debated..." heellllooooo -- it's in the Gospels, right?

and gee whiz, when i went to gma's website, i figured i'd find it because it was being touted in the segues prior to commercial breaks as a "major biblical discovery." however, they felt the lead stories such as "Do Redheads Feel Less Pain?" and "Falling for Felons" as being much more news-worthy for their website.

hrmph.
