my daughter, aged 12 going on 35, attended the Catholic Youth Rally at Great Adventure today. she was hesitant about going, worried she would not have fun and be forced onto the roller coaster, had all sorts of apprehensions...my biggest apprehension was about her missing Mass.
she just called and said she went on the roller coaster seven times and sat through "the BEST homily i've ever heard, mom! --- it was soooo good!" they had Mass afterall - it didn't occur to me that they might at the Catholic Youth Rally!
duh!
this, coming from my daughter who rarely shows any emotion that she is listening during Mass, other than at the little ones in front of her that she tends to entertain...
oh, Lord, my cup runneth over with my kids today :)
