updated to add more beauty to beauty...

i always get a little bit happy when a new book or cd arrives in the mail - i just received my Tallis, Mass for Four Voices Motets and it is amazing. really defies description.

(does anyone else care for this ancient type of music?)

Tallis is one of my favorite composers. I highly recommend his English Anthems and the Lamentations of Jeremiah. Of his motets my favorite are O nata lux and Spem in alium. The best interpreters are the Westminster Cathedral Choir and the Tallis Scholars.
