now begin on Christmas day

Moonless darkness stands between.
Past, O Past, no more be seen!
But the Bethlehem star may lead me
To the sight of him who freed me
From the self that I have been.

Make me pure, Lord,
Thou art holy;
Make me meek, Lord:
Thou wert lowly,
Now beginning, and always;
Now begin on Christmas Day.

Author: Gerard Manley Hopkins (1844-1889)

I love these ...

Also, I'm going to shamelessly steal your Madonna and child pic from the prayer blog unless you don't want me too. I've been looking but can't find good pictures. Where do you get yours? (to break into the mundane!)

first of all, i am thrilled that anyone even reads my prayer blog!! i was thinking of deleting it and just adding my prayerful stuff over here, but then again...i dunno. what do you think?

i am the queen of the search ;) when i read, like everyone else, i suppose, i visualize and then seek to find what is closest in my mind's eye to what i feel.

(did that make one iota of sense?)

On the separate blogs thing ... I like to keep it all together just so people will get hit by what they are "supposed" to see (does that sound too weird?). I just can't tell you how many times I've put something up that I later wondered why I did it or bothered and then unexpectedly got a comment about how that was just what a person needed to see that day. I would view the prayer blog that way if it was mine ...
