come to me all who are weary and are heavy laden...

...and I will give you rest...

in the midst of all the chaos of this past weekend, i realized when i was in church this afternoon that God truly provided His angels to minister to me in my time of need...support from my on-line friends, assurances gained from our Monsignor on saturday, dinner out saturday night with a wonderful pastor and his wife (turned friends) from the church up the street from our restaurant, and sunday, i ran into a dear friend of mine who was ordained a priest two years ago who "happened" to have plans cancel for the balance of the day and he offered to dine with me and then take me home (almost an hour out of his way). to say this was a gift from God is an understatement - i barely see him once a year, let alone have him all to myself for four hours!

i really feel as though God took care of me and even today, when i was unable to attend morning mass because of work, opened up my afternoon and i was able to sit before the Blessed Sacrament for an uninterrupted 45 minutes.

(as an aside, my husband, had two helen stories from today's mass, bless her heart...he sat in for me, in abstentia...)

"...Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls."

i am so grateful for all the support i've received from not only those i hold dear to me, but to those of you who hardly even know me. you've shown me Jesus, as well, through your prayers and words, and i thank you.
