i don't know if many of you know anything about who has played at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park, New Jersey -- if you've ever heard of Bruce Springsteen or Jon Bon Jovi? hmmm?
how about Max's band, Back Seat Riot?
they were the lead-off band today in a "showcase of talent" at the Stone Pony and it was probably one of the coolest things i have attended in a long time. we stayed for a few more bands and while i admit my bias to my boys, the other bands did pretty well.
another "Max" thought - he goes for his surgery on Monday. if you could keep a sweet thought for him, a prayer even, that would be much appreciated. he's been on full liquids for an entire week and tomorrow, clear liquids. surgery's at 9:30 a.m. and he so cannot wait.
